Green Environment

The Environment industry sector in our four county area (King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish) focuses on three main subsectors:

  • Water Conservation and Treatment
  • Waste Management
  • Protection, Remediation and Restoration

The Water Conservation and Treatment subsector includes products, processes and activities that make sure we have safe drinking water, maintain oceans and watersheds, and provides healthy water habitats for people, fish, plants and animals.

The Waste Management subsector reduces, reuses or recycles waste into new products. It includes collecting and moving waste into landfills, and collecting, sorting and recycling a variety of materials like cans, bottles, paper and electronic equipment.

The Protection, Remediation and Restoration subsector prevents, reduces and fixes pollution in the air, water and ground.
